OSSIPEE — New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol responded to a report that a boat had crashed into a house on Deer Cove Road on Ossipee Lake on Monday morning.

Around midnight, Marine Patrol Sergeant Seth Alie, along with Ossipee emergency crews, arrived at the scene and found the boat still running with no one on it..

According to the report, the boat traveled 75 feet from the edge of the water to the house it struck, riding over a beach and a road in the process.

The boat eventually stopped on the porch of the home and was partially through the side of the building. No one within the residence had been injured in the crash.

Police and emergency crews searched the area, including the water, but did not find anyone.

During the subsequent investigation, police said they determined that the 22-foot Black Four Winns boat was stolen from a mooring at Bluffs Beach in Center Ossipee.

Anyone with more information regarding the incident is asked to call Sergeant Seth Alie at (603) 293-2037.
