NASHUA — Nashua Police arrested a 15-year-old boy after he allegedly posted several "violent" threats online directed at other students at a city high school.

The Nashua Police Department received several complaints regarding threats being made via social media, which were directed at multiple Nashua High School students Tuesday around 6:32 p.m.

Some of the individuals that reported the threats to police perceived the threats as being directed towards Nashua High School South, as well as individual students. The threats included photos of firearms in the social media posts, police said.

The Nashua Police Department immediately notified the Nashua School District and kept Nashua school district superintendent Cornelia Brown informed as the investigation progressed.

Police say there were no direct threats made to the Nashua Schools but arranged with the Nashua School District to have an additional officer presence at both Nashua High School South and NHS North.

An investigation led to the boy's arrest around 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Anyone with additional information on this matter should contact the Nashua Police Department at 603 594-3500.
