Police arrest man accused of shooting gun, prompting school lockdowns in Keene


KEENE - Police arrested a man accused of shooting a gun during a domestic incident Wednesday.

Tyler J. Day, 22, of 19 Elliot St., is charged with felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, reckless conduct, tampering with a witness, criminal threatening, receiving stolen property, domestic violence simple assault, criminal threatening and possession of a controlled drug.

Area schools were alerted and placed on precautionary lockdown.

No one was injured, and no property was damaged as a result of this incident.

The Cheshire County Sheriff's Office, Chesterfield police, New Hampshire State Police, Swanzey police and Winchester police helped Keene police find Day.

Day is scheduled to appear in Keene district court at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

The case remains under investigation.
