Police arrest another man in connection with Manchester drug lab
MANCHESTER - Another man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a Lake Avenue drug lab.
Police arrested Richard Flanders, 35, of 336 Lake Ave., outside his apartment after a continued search of the crime scene led the police to a safe containing what appeared to be prescription bottles filled with crystal meth and Flanders' birth certificate.
On Monday, authorities responded to an emergency call at 336 Lake Ave., Apt. 6, and found what appeared to be a suspected drug laboratory. Six apartments were evacuated, including a woman and three children from the apartment.
A large quantity of a drug called DMT, Dimethyltryptamine, was found and Derek Russell - a guest of the apartment - was arrested and charged with manufacturing the drug.
Flanders has been charged with possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine).
He was released on $1,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Manchester district court on June 24.
