Police arrest 3, screen 358 drivers at sobriety checkpoint in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — A sobriety checkpoint conducted at 500 Market St. netted 3 arrests after 358 drivers were screened by police Saturday evening.

Lance Perry, 26, of Rhode Island, was charged with transportation of drugs in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Steven Tessitore, 35, of Rochester, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Timothy Lambrou, 36, of Manchester, was charged with driving while intoxicated and disobeying a police officer, both misdemeanors. He was released on $2,000 bail and has been scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 15.
