Police arrest 2 men after finding $6,000 worth of hydroponic weed during Portsmouth drug bust

Portsmouth police said they found $6,000 worth of hydroponic marijuana in a vehicle earlier this month.

Two men were arrested on drug possession charges after the bust at about 2 a.m. on Dec. 17.

Police said Chris Bouchard, 37, of Boothbay, Maine and Michael Brisbee, 39, of Uxbridge, Mass., caught the eye of officers when they were standing around a vehicle in a closed parking lot on Bartlett Street.

Officials said that with the help of K-9 Steel, they were about to find the more potent form of marijuana.

Bouchard and Brisbee will be in the Portsmouth Circuit Court on Jan. 25.

Both have been released on bail.
