Police arrest 2 for allegedly selling counterfeit goods at Laconia Motorcycle Week

LACONIA - Police doing a check of Motorcycle Week vendors at Weirs Beach arrested two people from Massachusetts they say were selling counterfeit goods.

Police said they were working with a manufacturing representative, leading to the seizure of an estimated $30,000 worth of items, including sunglasses, patches, t-shirts and sweatshirts.

Peichun Lee-tu, 54, and Cheng Lee-tu, 55, of Westfield, Mass., were arrested on warrants and charged with dealing in counterfeit goods late Friday morning.

Police said both were booked and released on $100 cash and $1,000 personal recognizance bail and are scheduled to appear in Laconia District Court on August 13.
