Police: 2 hospitalized after head-on collision in NH

ROCHESTER — Police responded to a head on collision in New Hampshire that shut down the road for about 30 minutes.

According to Rochester police, the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday on Route 125/Gonic Road near the Rochester Country Club.

Police say, Brian Grant, 30 of Rochester, was driving southbound in his 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier when he entered the northbound lane.

Grant allegedly hit David Lacy, 76 of Rochester, who police say was driving northbound with his wife, Sandra Lacy, 75 of Rochester, in their 2006 Ford F-150.

According to police, Lacy attempted to avoid the collision but was unsuccessful.

Responders say Lacy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, both he and his wife were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

After police investigation, Grant was issued a summons for a Solid Line violation.
