Police: 1 dead after drunk driver slams into another car in Manchester

MANCHESTER - One person was arrested after police said he was driving drunk when he collided with another car.

The crash happened at about 4:30 Sunday morning at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Union Street.

Police said Alexander Burke, 31 of Bow, was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan when he hit a 2004 Honda Pilot, killing the 30-year-old driver.

Burke was placed under arrest for felony driving while intoxicated.

The crash remains under investigation by the Manchester Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
