Plate of the Union launches food reform campaign in Londonderry
LONDONDERRY — Plate of the Union is teaming with Stonyfield Farm to call on presidential candidates to reform America's food system.
The Plate of the Union is a national campaign advocating for food policy reform by the next president. They are launching their Battleground State Food Truck Tour at Stonyfield Farm on Thursday at 2 p.m.
The event will include four speakers: Ken Cook, President of the Environmental Working Group and co-Founder Food Policy Action; Anne Kapuscinski, Dartmouth University Professor and Union of Concerned Scientists Board Chair; Evan Mallett, Portsmouth based James Beard Award Nominated chef; Roger Noonan, President of the New England Farmers Union.
Following the inaugural event at Stonyfield Farm, the Plate of the Union Battleground State Food Truck Tour will be traveling across the country through Election Day hosting events in New Hampshire, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois and North Carolina to build momentum and raise voters’ voices about the need for action on food and farm policies.
