DERRY - Students at Pinkerton Academy cut class (and their hair) Thursday for a good cause.
The group of 33 ladies got their hair cut to make wigs for cancer patients.
Delaney Conway organized the first annual event and says she was inspired because she had seen it done by other organizations and thought it was something she could easily do at New Hampshire's largest high school.
"If I can do something to help a woman going through cancer treatments to make her feel a little bit more confident about herself," Conway said, "then its worth it."
Delaney said she is already planning next year's event.
