BEVERLY HILLS, Fla.— A water main break caused a large sink hole, engulfing one car, Monday morning.

Citrus County Sherriff's Office posted about the hole on their Facebook page, asking for it be shared so people would avoid the situation while it was getting fixed.

This morning, Citrus County reported that deputies, fire rescue, the water company (Rolling Oaks), and road maintenance were all on the scene.

Around 1:00 p.m. they updated their Facebook page, reporting that portions of the road were closed down temporarily, but a detour was in place.

The update also announced that the occupants inside the sunken vehicle were able to get out safely before the car went under and that the car has been removed from the hole.
