NH1.com

SALEM - The Salem Police Department has spread holiday cheer this season, donating toys to Felicity's Closet, a non-profit organization.

Felicity's Closet's goal is to work with local women's shelters and provide clothing for woman who have very little.

They also help supply students with appropriate weather clothing.

During the holiday season, Felicity's Closet provides toys for children in need.

And this year, Felicity's Closet thought they were going to have to turn people away, with a lack of toys and donations. But Monday morning they woke up with an amazing surprise from the Salem Police Department.

Felicity's Closet thanked the Salem PD on their Facebook:

"So I didn't sleep last night thinking that this was the year we were going to have to turn people away.We were out of toys and still had kids that needed them. SERENDIPITY !!!!! This morning I got a call from an officer from the Salem Police Department saying they had toys for us. I can not say Thank You enough !!!!!!!! Salem Police Department has already given so many of our Angels a Christmas this year and still continue to give . These officers have no idea that their kindness and generosity gave toys the whole year through to fire victims, children of Domestic Violence and other situations innocent children find themselves in.When you hand them a bag with toys in it, life for a kid gets a whole lot better. So in the season of our Saviors birth I ask each of you to take the time to pray for the officers of Salem Police Department , For the safety of these kind hearts."

Take a look at the toys in the gallery below!
