SEABROOK — The Seabrook Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out in the kitchen-area of a popular New Hampshire seafood restaurant.
Officials received a report at 2:52 a.m. of a fire at Brown's Lobster Pound in Seabrook. The fire struck first alarm at 3:02 a.m., according to the fire department.
Upon arrival, crews noticed a heavy fire in the rear part of the building in the kitchen-area. They returned to the fire station around 7:30 a.m. after fighting the flames, an official said.
The cause of the fire and the damage it left is undetermined at this time, but no injuries are reported.
The restaurant remains closed for now, the fire department said.
