FRANKLIN - Photos taken by police inside the home at 182 West Bow St. showed trash piled three feet high in some rooms, an overflowing toilet, a kitchen full of empty milk jugs, hundreds of cigarette butts around the sink, and in the middle of it all, a baby's play pen.

They were looking for Joseph Herne, 29, who lived there and was wanted on drug charges.

They found thousands of empty fast food cups, trash strewn throughout the house, and children.
