Pembroke man crashes car in Hooksett, snaps telephone pole

HOOKSETT - Utility workers were called out last night to replace a telephone pole that snapped after a driver lost control at the intersection of Merrimack and Pleasant Streets and hit the pole around 2 a.m.

Police say Bradley Field, 22, of Pembroke, rolled the car onto the roof and had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters. He was the only occupant and was not seriously injured.

Police say speed was a factor in the crash but did not say whether charges were brought against Field in connection with the accident.
