Pelham, NH, police arrest three after car chase that started in Massachusetts

PELHAM - Police arrested three people Tuesday after a car chase that started in Massachusetts.

Michael Steele, 30, of Wakefield, Mass., is charged with receiving stolen property, operating after suspension, disobeying an officer, resisting arrest, willful interference with police dogs and fugitive from justice.

Police said Steele was driving a stolen van when he allegedly led them on a chase. Once the van was stopped, police said Steele ran off on foot.

After a 45 minute search, police found Steele who they said then kicked a police dog. Steele was injured during the arrest and was taken to Parkland Medical Center in Derry.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

Erin Casoli, 32, of Saugus, Mass., and Michael LaCrosse, 32, of Woburn, Mass., also were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

They are scheduled to appear in Salem district court Wednesday at 9 a.m.
