Pelham, NH, man suffers serious injuries, charged with DWI in Saturday car crash
HUDSON - A Pelham man has been charged with aggravated DWI after an early morning crash Saturday.
The police and fire departments responded to Wason Road near Burns Hill Road around 5:50 a.m. for a reporter of a car hitting a tree.
The driver, John Lloyd, 20, of Pelham, had to be extricated from the car, police said.
He was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua and then Mass General hospital with serious injuries, police said.
At the time, Lloyd was listed in critical condition, police said.
Lloyd was arrested and will face charges at a later date, police said.
The front seat passenger, a 15 year old juvenile also of Pelham, was also taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center with serious injuries, police said.
Two rear-seat passengers fled the scene before police arrived, police said.
Alcohol appears to be a factor in this crash, police said.
Police also said that it appears the people in the car were not wearing seatbelts.
Hudson police are investigating the crash and more charges against the passengers may be forthcoming.
