CONCORD - It's their final showdown.
So how are Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Republican challenger Scott Brown spending the hours before they face off at a WMUR/Union Leader debate Thursday night at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College?
Brown visited his mom, mowed the lawn, went to the gym, put up some campaign signs, played his guitar, and was checking the generator at his home in Rye, according to a source close to the GOP nominee.
Shaheen visited with employees at a small business in Portsmouth before spending time with her family at her home in Madbury, according to a campaign official.
Thursday's debate is the final of three-televised showdowns between Shaheen, a former three-term governor, and Brown, a former senator from Massachusetts. The two last faced off at an NH1/CNN debate one week ago.
The latest public opinion surveys in the race, including an NH1 Poll by New England College, indicate the contest is all tied up.
