Paul Steinhauser: Vice President Biden makes surprise visit to downtown Concord
CONCORD - Guess who dropped in on Main Street in this afternoon.
In between his two scheduled stops in New Hampshire Wednesday, Vice President Joe Biden paid a visit to The Works Bakery Café on Main Street, where grabbed some lunch and chatted with patrons.
The vice president ordered a Dagwood sandwich, which according to the Works is an "antibiotic-free, humanely-raised roast turkey, naturally-cured ham & bacon, provolone, lettuce, tomato, roasted onion, mayo, on sourdough."
The sandwich goes for $7.49.
Biden also ordered some chili, sans onions.
Pool reporters attempted to ask the vice president some questions. A reporter from BuzzFeed asked the Vice President about reports of the Clinton Foundation's acceptance of foreign donations. The vice president answered "I don't know enough about it."
The vice president's motorcade, parked outside the breakfast and lunch establishment, caused some backups of traffic on Main Street.
