Paul Steinhauser: Ted Cruz Granite State bound

NH1 Political Director - NH1.com

CONCORD - Sen. Ted Cruz is returning to New Hampshire next month.

The Republican from Texas, who's seriously mulling a White House run, will headline the Grafton County Republican Committee's Lincoln Day dinner. The Grafton County GOP announced Wednesday that the event will take place on March 15 at the Indian Head Resort in Lincoln.

Cruz was last in the first-in-the-nation primary state in early September, when he campaigned for fellow Republicans including Marilinda Garcia, the GOP challenger to Democratic Rep. Annie Kuster.

An aide to Cruz told NH1 that "the senator is looking forward to his upcoming trip to the Granite State and greeting voters at the Grafton County dinner and beyond. Details of the remainder of the trip are still in the works."

Cruz, who's a hero to many in the tea party movement, placed eighth out of 11 potential Republican presidential candidates tested in a new NH1 Pulse Poll released Wednesday.
