Patient overdoses in NH hospital; police hand her felony drug charge
DOVER — A woman who allegedly overdosed at a hospital was arrested on felony drug charges.
Police said Lisa Chapman, 38, of 55 Lafayette Street, Rochester, was charged with possession of a controlled drug after police recovered a material they suspected to be illegal drugs when she was admitted as a patient at Wentworth Douglass Hospital. Police said she overdosed while at the hospital and their testing proved the material detectives found was Fentanyl.
After police obtained a warrant, Chapman was arrested Wednesday at the hospital. She was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail.
Chapman is scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 24 in Strafford County Superior Court.
