Page in court on child porn charges, new accusations arise against mom in Alexandria baby's death

ALEXANDRIA - The N.H. Attorney General still said Tommy Page’s arrest and 11-month-old Shawn Sylvester’s homicide are two separate and ongoing investigations.

Monday page waved his probable cause hearing and is still being held on 500,000 dollars cash bail on numerous child pornography charges.

Although it was Page in court, there are new accusations by family friends regarding Dee Sylvester, Page's girlfriend and SJ’s mother.

“I feel Dee slacked a lot with being there, but I can’t say that she is totally innocent in this either,” said Austin Pertheo, a family friend of SJ’s biological father.

However, Sylvester - also known as Danielle Dudley - was quoted in the Union Leader recently claiming her innocence.

“I cannot speak about this or defend myself until charges are brought upon him and only him,” Sylvester said, refusing to clarify who she meant by “him.”

“It is still an open case," she continued. "I will have my time to speak, but now is not that time. Right now I just want to love and miss my baby boy."

But friends question her involvement in the child’s death or lack thereof.

“You know it was her responsibility to have him and take care of him," Pertheo said. "I know drugs were an issue. I know she’s recovering or is recovering and who knows maybe she slipped up.”

When asked why Sylvester was so confident an arrest would be made, Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley said the investigation is ongoing.

“I'm not her so I can’t answer that question for her,” Hinckley said. “We don’t jump to conclusions, and we'll wait for a full and fair investigation before we proceed with any charges.”

The A.G.'s office said that this is not the first time an immediate arrest has not been made in a homicide or suspicious death case.

Page’s charges on possession of child porn will be heard in superior court in the next 90 days but pending a further investigation.

Page could also be facing subsequent charges.
