BARNSTEAD — The two owners of the Rottweilers that mauled and killed a small dog earlier this month have been arrested.
The small dog, known as Spot, was tied to his runner when he was attacked, his owner Ellen Smith said. The two rottweilers lived at another house in the area and had escaped their fenced-in pen, according to Barnstead Police.
Spot died later at Companion Animal Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
The owners have been released on a summons and will appear in court on Nov. 3.
