Owen Labrie registers as sex offender in Vermont

TURNBRIDGE, Vt. - The former St. Paul's student convicted on three misdemeanor counts of sexual assault and one felony count of uses of a computer prohibited has officially registered as a sex offender.

Labrie registered as a Category two sex offender in the state of Vermont Monday.

In Oct. Labrie was sentenced to one year in the N.H. House of Corrections, probation and was required to register as a sex offender in his home state. Labrie will also undergo sex evaluation courses as part of his sentencing. He faced a maximum of 11 years in State Prison.

The now 20-year-old was accused of raping a 15-year-old freshman girl on St. Paul's property in May 2014.

Labrie was acquitted of three counts of felonious aggravated sexual assault.
