Overnight blaze kills woman in Somersworth

SOMERSWORTH - Several neighboring towns from New Hampshire and Maine helped fight a two-alarm fire at a Somersworth home overnight.

The fire at 15 Indigo Hill Road was under control in less than an hour, but a woman died in the blaze.

The woman, who's name is not yet being released, was found in a second floor bedroom.

Two other occupants of the home were able to self-evacuate; one was brought to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

No firefighters were injured.

The State Fire Marshal's office is now investigating.

The home is owned by Mr. Robert Bergy and the estimated damages are approximately $100,000.
