Overdose deaths in NH could hit 435 for 2015

CONCORD - New information from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner shows 399 overdose deaths in the state, with 36 other death reports pending before the office can close out 2015.

Of that total, the vast majority - 365 - are due to opiates or opioids, most prominently: fentanyl.

In contrast, the number of drug-related deaths in 2014 totaled 326. Most of those overdose deaths also were attributed to fentanyl.
