MANCHESTER — A day after the Manchester Sam's Club announces its upcoming closing, over 100 people lined up outside the store waiting to get a deal on goods.

However, according to people leaving the store, many items were not under large discounts with most people receiving less than $10 in savings.

In order to manage the crowds, an extra officer from the Manchester Police Department was on scene, and the store was allowing five people to enter whenever five people left.

The store is scheduled to close Aug. 18, but pharmacy customers will still be able to pick up their prescriptions through Aug. 25. Pharmacy staff will help customers transfer their prescriptions to another location.

The store will transfer anything remaining merchandise to other clubs in the area.
