HOLDERNESS, N.H. (AP) - Women looking for a different kind of Valentine's Day celebration might want to register for the Fish and Game Department's Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop.
The daylong workshop - scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14 - offers a choice of ice fishing, winter outdoor survival skills, snowmobiling for beginners, and tracking wildlife and target shooting, both on snowshoes.
Participants choose one activity to focus on at the department's Owl Brook Hunter Education Center in Holderness. The $55 fee covers the workshop, lunch and most equipment use.
Participants must be at least 18 years old. For the first time, the department is offering a discounted registration fee of $25 for those ages 18-25.
Registration forms are now available at www.nhbow.com.
