One-way signs to be installed on Manchester road to deal with Walmart traffic
MANCHESTER — Signage making President Road a one-way headed west will be installed Monday.
This move approved by city aldermen last week is to help provide some relief to neighborhoods that have experienced increased traffic since a new Wal-Mart opened on Gold Street last spring, the Union Leader reported.
New signage and line striping work will be performed starting at 8 a.m.
Traffic count projections show making President Road one-way headed west reduces its number of daily trips from 4,035 to 2,020, but increases Bradley Street to 3,885 and Connecting Road to 2,520 per day, according to Ward 8 Alderman Barbara Shaw.
