PORTSMOUTH - An early morning accident has killed one person, according to Seacoastonline.
The accident occurred near McKinnon's Market & Super Butcher Shop at 2454 Lafayette Road, police said.
Police were diverting southbound traffic through the plaza where the butcher shop is located.
Police said significant delays are expected for the morning commute and travelers should seek an alternate route.
The northbound side of the road is open but traffic is delayed there as well, police said.
Police are investigating the accident.
