One man hospitalized after trying to douse mobile home fire in Raymond

RAYMOND - One man was injured after trying to put out a fire that destroyed a mobile home at 15 Agent Drive on Wednesday night.

Firefighters say the call came in shortly after 9 p.m. They arrived to find the flames through the roof. Four adults and a dog were living in the home and one man was taken to the hospital suffering from smoke inhalation, burned hands and ears after trying to douse the fire himself. He was ultimately transferred to a hospital in Boston because of the nature of his injuries but is expected to recover.

The fire apparently started in a middle bedroom, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the Longo family who were displaced as a result of the fire.
