One dead, two injured after pickup allegedly fled police and crashed

WEARE - One person is dead and two others were seriously injured after their pickup truck crashed on the side of Route 114 as they tried to flee police.

Police say all three people in the truck were ejected from the vehicle when it crashed. One was taken to Concord Hospital and declared dead. The other two were taken to Elliott Hospital in Manchester with serious injuries, police said.

According to state police, the truck crashed after a New Boston officer tried to pull them over for driving without tail lights. The driver refused to stop and police say the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed before it crashed.

The accident is under investigation by the N.H. State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, Weare police, New Boston police and the Weare Fire & Rescue Department.

Anyone with information related to this crash is asked to contact Trooper Christopher Storm at 603-223-4381.
