On a diet? Stay far away from these calorie bombs at popular restaurants

Most Americans say they try to choose healthy meals when they go out to eat. But the nutrition facts on some of your favorite items may surprise you ... This is either going to make you hungry, or think twice when ordering.

Now-- let's take a look the three recipients of the 2016 extreme eating awards.

At Uno pizzeria-- on the lunch menu-- the hog burger. It has hamburger, sausage, bacon , prosciutto, pepperoni, four types of cheese and comes with fries and onion rings. All told it's more than a day's worth of calories, three days' worth of saturated fat-- and six days’ worth of sodium.

Up next-- fried chicken waffles Benedict from the Cheesecake Factory. This brunch is a Belgian waffle topped with fried chicken strips, poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce, with maple syrup and a side of potatoes.

With more than a day’s worth of calories. At around 2,500, four days' worth of saturated fat. And a days' worth-- 15 teaspoons of sugar.

And now about popular chain-- Buffalo Wild Wings. What do you get when you add a fried flour tortilla with four scoops of ice cream, sugar and breaded cheesecake bites-- topped with chocolate and caramel sauce?

Nutritionally, it's like eating four taco bell crunchy tacos. Filled with beef and cheese-- topped with a 14-ounce container of Haagen-Dazs ice cream and two chocolate candy bars.

Calorie counts will become mandatory on menus and menu boards at chain restaurants with 20 or more chains beginning in May of 2017.
