Ollie the Bat Dog fetched last bat with Fisher Cats

MANCHESTER — Ollie the Bat Dog fetched his last bat at the Fisher Cats game on Monday.

The golden retriever has been on the Fisher Cats team for more than six seasons. His primary job is to fetch bats for Fisher Cats hitters.

"Ollie is as well known around the ballpark as some of our players," said Fisher Cats President and General Manager-and Ollie's owner- Rick Brenner in a media release.

Ollie announced his retirement earlier last week by communicating through a dog whisperer, according to the media release sent out by the Fisher Cats.
