Officials revoke license of Littleton day care owner after infant fell

The Associated Press

NORTH CONWAY — The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Service's appeals unit has upheld the agency's decision to revoke a day care center's license after an infant fell off a changing table in June.

The department revoked the license of Judith Ash, owner of Ash's Day Care Center in Littleton, on June 29. A DHHS report says Ash was changing the 8-month old boy June 22 when she took her hand off the infant and he fell 3 feet, landing face first.

Several hours later, the report says he began having a seizure. It says Ash did not immediately seek medical attention.

The Caledonian Record reports the infant's grandmother said Tuesday the boy is out of the hospital and in therapy, but the long-term prognosis is uncertain.
