Police say David Goodwin lost control of his pickup truck on Route 111 Friday and hit a utility pole. He was then hit by a car after getting out of his vehicle.

The 33-year-old Exeter man was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

The Portsmouth Herald reports a hospital spokeswoman said Monday that Goodwin remains listed in critical condition.

Police say the driver of the other car wasn't injured. The crash remains under investigation.
