Officials ID man hit by Amtrak train in Claremont

CLAREMONT — The man that died after he was struck by an Amtrak train on Friday has been identified.

Police said that Anthony Beebe, 39, of Charlestown may have intentionally walked in front of the southbound train. The incident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. Friday between the Claremont junction and Grissom Lane.

Emergency services who responded to the scene confirmed the man was deceased. Claremont Police and Amtrak Police are currently investigating the incident.
