BRISTOL — State officials have identified the man who drowned while trying to rescue a child swimming below a waterfall.
Thai M. Chinh, 39 of Concord, died after going to help the child who began to struggle while swimming under Profile Falls on the Smith River in Bristol.
The New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol said four children were swimming there Monday afternoon when an 8-year-old started to struggle.
