Officials: Hazmat situation being investigated at Keene High School, avoid area

KEENE — The Keene Fire Department is responding to a potential hazmat situation at Keene High School.

A situation potentially involving hazardous materials found at the high school has been looked into as of 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The public is asked not to go to the high school, while the fire department handles the potential situation, the Keene Fire Department tweeted.

The safety and accountability of the students and staff within the building is being addressed in accordance with the emergency management plan.
