Obamacare enrollment surges after Donald Trump wins presidential election
A day after Donald Trump was elected to be the next president of the United States there was a surge of Obamacare enrollments.
Trump promised to dismantle the program when he makes it to the oval office. On Wednesday, more than 100,000 people selected healthcare plans on the healthcare.gov website.
It was the busiest day recorded since the open enrollment began November 1.
The last day to enroll or change a plan to take effect Jan. 1 is Dec. 15.
The last day to enroll in or change a 2017 health plan is Jan. 31.
