NY woman extradicted to NH to answer to credit card fraud charges

BEDFORD — A New York woman was arrested for racking up $4,112 worth of merchandise and gift cards using stolen information.

Tiffany Buchanan, 25 of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested on Feb. 26 for using stolen information to purchase over $4,000 worth of merchandise and gift cards from the Merrimack Premium Outlet Mall. Merrimack Detectives continued the investigation and subsequently obtained a warrant for Buchanan’s arrest.

During their investigation, Buchanan bailed herself out of the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections, where she was being held, and returned home to Brooklyn NY.

On Dec. 14, Merrimack Police learned that Buchanan was arrested in New Jersey, had already been extradited back to New Hampshire, and was being held at HCDOC.

Merrimack police then took custody of Buchanan and booked her at the Merrimack Police Department. Buchanan refused the services of the bail commissioner and agreed to remain in custody until her arraignment on Dec. 15. She was transported back to the HCDOC.
