MERRIMACK - Police say a Nashua woman stole jewelry from an elderly patient to whom she was giving care.

Charlotte Torres - 24, who works for a local nursing company - was arrested on charges of felony theft.

Family members of the victim told the Merrimack police they became suspicious when they found Torres in an area of the house where she was not supposed to be. They called the police after finding items were missing.

Investigators believe Torres pawned the items away already.

Torres is being held on $10,000 cash/surety bail.
