Northwood firefighters use pond water to put out 'totally engulfed' house

NORTHWOOD - The Northwood fire department had to use a nearby pond to extinguish a fire at a home on 30 Mill Pond Road, which was fully engulfed in flames.

The house was unoccupied as it was owned by the bank. There were no injuries, but the two-alarm fire required assistance with eight towns responding. The call came in to the fire department around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
