Northwood boy suffers non-life-threatening injuries in four wheeler accident

NORTHWOOD —A 14-year-old boy suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries after an accident on a four-wheeler noon Saturday.

The Northwood boy was was driving a youth-sized four wheeler on his parent's property. He tried to climb a steep embankment, but the front wheels of his four wheeler came off the ground, causing the vehicle to rise up, and roll backwards on top of him. The boy was wearing a helmet. He was treated on scene by Northwood fire and rescue before being taken to the Concord Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Northwood police also responded to the scene.

New Hampshire Fish & Game is continuing to investigate the accident.
