North Country agency gets grant to promote tourism
LANCASTER, N.H. (AP) - The Northern Border Regional Commission is awarding a $200,000 grant to a campaign that markets North Country tourist attractions, retailers, hotels and restaurants.
New Hampshire Grand says it will use the money to upgrade its website and expand its public relations and marketing efforts.
Once the upgrades are completed, New Hampshire Grand's website will feature interactive mapping, customized trip planning and action shots of tourist attractions such as the ATV trail network, rafting and fishing.
NH Grand partners with local retailers, chambers of commerce and tourist attractions such as The Cog Railway to promote events and activities.
The Northern Border Regional Commission is charged with spurring economic development and creating jobs in the economically distressed areas of northern Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and New York.
