No one hurt in roof collapse Litchfield

LITCHFIELD - The fire department is urging residents to clean roof tops off after responding to a partial roof collapse.

On Friday, fire fighters responded to a partial roof collapse at 20 Bixby Drive. The home was abandonded when the roof caved in, there were no injuries.

Crews declared the property unsafe for anyone to enter the home, and say the roof collapsed into the first floor and the second floor fell right through to the basement of the home.

Neighbors say the gentleman who lived in the home has been moved out for some time.

"Um it's an old guy, he hasn't lived there for a couple of months ago. It's a little bizzar that it is happening to close to where I live, it's just....I don't know I'm just happy it didn't happen where someone was actually living" said neighbor Marc McClure.
