No cold records broken this weekend but VT's capital city ties record at -19

MONTPELIER, Vt. — Northern New Englanders woke up to bitter cold temperatures that dropped to 10 to 20 below zero overnight.

No new records were set but Montpelier, Vt. at least tied a record set on Feb. 14, 2003 at minus 19.

Meanwhile in Concord, the low was expected to be around minus 7, nowhere near the prior Valentine's Day record of minus 28

The coldest spot in New Hampshire on Sunday? Mount Washington where it was 40 below zero.

In other spots around the region, South Lincoln, Vt., recorded 27 below zero, while Eustis, Maine, had minus 20 and Berlin came in at 18 below zero.
