No charges to be brought against teen involved in fatal accident in Hampstead

HAMPSTEAD — No charges will be brought against a Derry teen whose Jeep struck and killed a woman who'd gotten out of her car after it slid off the road during a snowstorm last week.

According to the Union Leader, police have determined it was an accident,

Lori Dawe, 31, of Derry, died at the scene of the accident near the intersection of Stage and Cambridge roads. Dawe's car slid off the road during a Tuesday night snowstorm.

Police believe Dawe got out of the car to make a cellphone call when she was hit by a 2006 Jeep Wrangler driven by Jordan Fournier, 17, of Derry. Police say both vehicles were going downhill on the windy road when the accident occurred.

Fournier was not reported to have been speeding, and authorities said they found no evidence of drugs or alcohol.
