Nine displaced in Central Street fire in Nashua on Sunday

NASHUA - Nine people were displaced by a fire at a multi-family home on Central Street on Sunday morning.

Firefighters say everyone got out safely but the property remains uninhabitable. The Red Cross was on the scene assisting residents with finding emergency housing.

The fire was reported shortly after 7 a.m. when a passerby noticed smoke and called the fire department. The address includes three units at 24, 24 1/2 and 25 Central Ave., with the first two suffering the most damage, firefighters said.

Information about the cause was not immediately available.
